I really enjoy cooking in cast iron. Now cast iron is not a lightweight cookware and can be to heavy for some people to handle. But otherwise you just can’t be the toughness and lasting durability of good old-fashioned cast iron. It’s one of the big reasons people have been using cast iron for generation. Cast iron is also an excellent conductor of heat and produces outstanding results. I’ve been using a cast iron frying pan and Dutch oven that I inherited from my grandmother for years now. I finally decided to buy a new piece for myself and chose this Rachael Ray Enamel Cast Iron Round Casserole Pot.

With a 7 quart capacity, this pot is perfect for making my larger family-sized dishes. I’ll be able to use it for my beef stew at the holidays and all of my favorite slow-cooked meals. I also really like the easy-to-clean green enamel finish on the pot and the extra-sturdy handles. It’s so attractive I sometimes leave the clean pot sitting on the stove top for an extra splash of color in the kitchen. So if you’re in the market for some quality new cookware, you should put this great cast iron casserole pot on the top of your list.
